Students can complete the qualifying university requirements for the Chiropractic program at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC). Students are required to complete a minimum of three years (90 credit hours) of undergraduate university study in any discipline prior to admission to the Chiropractic program. Although there are no specific required courses, CMCC does recommend courses in specific subject areas. The Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) at the CMCC is a four year program following admission. The CMCC welcomes applications from Canadian and international students. The courses completed at the University of Regina as part of this program can be used toward a variety of degree programs at the University of Regina.
Students can complete the pre-dentistry requirements for the College of Dentistry at the University of Saskatchewan at the University of Regina. Students are eligible to apply to the College of Dentistry after three academic years, and must take a full course load from September to April each year (five courses per semester). Specific courses are required. All applicants must take the Dental Aptitude Test administered by the Canadian Dental Association. Pre-dentistry courses completed at the University of Regina can be used toward a variety of programs at the University of Regina.
The Pre-Law program allows you to meet the course requirements for Law School admission to the University of Saskatchewan. Students are required to take 60 credit hours of courses, the equivalent to two years of full time University courses before being eligible to apply. The University of Regina’s small classes and student to professor ratio make this the ideal school to take your Pre-Law courses.
Students can complete the pre-medicine requirements for the medicine program at the University of Saskatchewan at the University of Regina. Students must complete any four-year bachelor degree within five years to be eligible to apply to the College of Medicine. Specific courses are recommended for MCAT preparation, and an Indigenous studies course is also required. All applicants must write the MCAT for admission.
Students looking to apply to medical schools other than the U of S are able to complete their pre-med requirements here, but should check the various Medical Schools for their particular admission requirements. These students are welcome to consult with our advisors to ensure they get everything they need. Pre-medicine courses completed at the University of Regina can be used toward a variety of programs at the University of Regina.
Students can complete the pre-nutrition requirements for the Nutrition program at the University of Saskatchewan at the University of Regina. Students are eligible to apply to the Nutrition program after completion of 30 credits hours of specific course requirements. Pre-nutrition courses completed at the University of Regina can be used toward a variety of programs at the University of Regina.
Occupational Therapy is a Master of Science program at the University of Alberta. Applicants are eligible to apply after completing a four-year bachelor degree in any discipline. Specific prerequisite courses are required, and courses that are more than 10 years old will not be accepted.
Students can complete the pre-optometry requirements for the Optometry program at the University of Waterloo through the Faculty of Science at the University of Regina. Students are eligible to apply to the University of Waterloo after three years of specified pre-optometry courses, and must take a full course load from September to April each year (five courses per semester). Pre-optometry courses completed at the University of Regina can be used toward a BSc at the University of Regina.
At the University of Regina, students can complete the pre-pharmacy requirements for the College of Pharmacy at the University of Saskatchewan. Students are eligible to apply to the University of Saskatchewan after the completion of 60 credit hours of specified courses, and must include 24 credit hours taken in at least one academic year (September to April). Pre-pharmacy courses completed at the University of Regina can be used toward a variety of programs at the University of Regina.
The School of Physical Therapy at the University of Saskatchewan has implemented a Master of Physical Therapy program. Applicants are eligible to apply to the School of Physical Therapy after the completion of a four-year bachelor degree in any discipline, with specific focus on the most recent 60 credits hours of academic study . Some specific prerequisite courses are required.
University of Regina students can complete the admission requirements for the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan. Students are eligible to apply to the University of Saskatchewan after the completion of 60 credit hours of required and elective courses, and must include 24 credit hours taken in at least two academic years (September to April). Pre-veterinary courses completed at the University of Regina can be used toward a degree in science at the University of Regina.
