Here for Everyone

At Luther College, the Chaplaincy is a place of connection, conversation, and action for people of all faiths and none. It’s here to support everyone, no matter where they are in their journey or how involved they are in campus life.

Luther College is grounded in a rich theological tradition, which encourages discussions about life’s big questions from various religious and secular perspectives. This approach helps shape character, fosters vocational discernment, and builds religious literacy. Here, students explore questions like “Who are you going to be?” alongside “What are you going to do?” This exploration helps them understand the meaning and purpose of their lives.

Meet Pastor Brooklynn Lane

Rooted in the Lutheran Christian tradition, Brooklynn brings a wealth of experience to her new role. She holds a Bachelor of Education from the U of R and a Master of Divinity from Martin Luther University College, and was ordained in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Canada. Before joining Luther, she served as a parish pastor for two rural congregations in Nova Scotia.

At Luther College, Pastor Brooklynn is excited to lead weekly worship services that explore spirituality and create spaces for connection. From Wellness Wednesdays to coffee hours, her student programming has something for everyone. She’s also here for pastoral care, always ready to chat or help students navigate university life. Stop by her office for a cup of coffee, tea, or a lifesaver candy!

Pastor Brooklynn believes everyone is made in God’s image and embraces a welcoming attitude toward people of all genders and sexualities. She’s passionate about making sure every person feels valued and included.

When she’s not at Luther, you’ll find her paddle boarding, reading, gardening, or enjoying Mamma Mia!
